Sexy Daisy Fuentes has been named Fitness magazine’s first ever Mind, Body, Spirit Superstar, and she credits Jennifer Lopez and her Latina curves for the title. The actress/model, who is engaged to wed former Bros star Matt Goss, insists she never stood a chance of becoming a cover girl on mainstream magazines until Lopez persuaded editors and stylists that big bottoms and curves can be beautiful. She tells the magazine,

“It takes someone as confident as Jennifer Lopez to turn a body part that’s often considered a flaw into something hot.” Fuentes uses the article accompanying her new title to reassure other women that staying fit and in shape can be really easy. I am hoping that she will work with music video director Francis Lawrence. Jennifer Lopez has been awarded nearly $545,000 after filing a lawsuit to prevent her first husband Ojani Noa from publishing memoirs in which he claims the singer/actress was unfaithful. According to court papers filed in Los Angeles on Monday (06Aug07), Lopez is due $200,000 in damages, with the remainder covering her legal costs. Lopez filed her breach of contract suit against Noa, who she divorced in 1998 after less than a year of marriage, because his book would violate a previous settlement that bars him from revealing details of their relationship. She claims Noa asked for $5 million not to publish his book. As well as deciding the amount of monetary damages, a court-ordered arbitrator ruled Noa should be permanently banned from “criticising, denigrating, casting in a negative light or otherwise disparaging or causing disparagement” to Lopez. Her attorney has filed legal papers asking a judge to confirm the arbitrator’s decision. A court hearing is scheduled for 5 September (07).
