“The recent show Jennifer Lopez plans to produce for TLC is not a reality show,” says her manager, Simon Fields. “It’s a show that will track the creation, production and eventual launch of a new fragrance. Jennifer will appear in a creative, entrepreneurial capacity and will absolutely not feature her children and family life.”

There is no broadcast date set for the show, but Fields says it will be this year

Phillip Bloch and Jennifer Lopez.It seems that Jennifer Lopez already has a viewer of her new reality show on TLC. Good friend and celeb-stylist, Phillip Bloch can’t wait.

“I would watch anything she does,” Phillip told OK! at the Night of a Thousand Lights event benefiting St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. “I love her.”

And maybe we can look forward to seeing this fashionable guy on the boob tube too. “If I am invited, I’d love to make an appearance,” the host of the evening remarked.

It isn’t too far-fetched! Jennifer and Phillip have quite a history together. “I’ve worked with her through the years and in this business, you work with different people and your careers change, but she is someone whenever I see her, we instantly connect,” he explains.

“We know each other from movie premieres and her first wedding and all that kind of stuff.” Here’s to hoping we can see this dynamic duo on TV together!

Despite TLC’s press release suggesting otherwise, Lopez’s personal publicist, Leslie Sloane, just issued the following “clarification”:

“The show that Jennifer Lopez is doing for TLC is a “docuseries” that follows the creation of a mother/child fragrance launch. It is not about her family and home life with her children.”

TLC partnered with Jennifer Lopez on a reality series and a broad development deal, respectively.

The Discovery Communications-owned cable channel announced the partnerships at its upfront presentation on Wednesday.

J-Lo: Beyond the Runway (2005)J-Lo, who made an appearance at the show, will co-create, executive produce and star in a docuseries about her life as a new mom and businesswoman balancing a music/fashion/film career as she launches a new fragrance. Simon Fields and Gay Rosenthal are executive producers with Lopez.

“I am excited to be part of the TLC family,” Lopez said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together.”

The show is one of the more high-profile projects to come out of the network since Angela Shapiro-Mathes joined as president.

“Jennifer is unbelievably passionate about life and will be an incredible model for our audience,” Shapiro-Mathes said. “I’m thrilled to be partnering with her on a series that will take our audience into a fascinating world. It’s a fun, emotional journey that will be inspirational and yet very relatable to today’s women.”
