Jennifers aunt dies from ovarian cancer

Contactmusic reports that Jennifer Lopez’s beloved aunt Myrza Rodriguez has passed away earlier this month (May 8). She had been battling ovarian cancer for a second time.
Rodriguez, the 65-year-old sister of Lopez’s mother Guadalupe - underwent six weeks of treatment in September 2005 in Germany’s Leonardis Klinik in Bad Heilbrunn, the same facility where Farrah Fawcett and Roy Horn have been treated.
The disease went into temporary remission, but Rodriguez learned her cancer had returned last year (07) and chemotherapy treatments failed to slow its progress.
A source tells The National Enquirer, “Jennifer had been preparing for this, but when the time finally came, she was heartbroken and devastated and turned to (husband) Marc (Anthony) for support.”
