Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for RebirthTo celebrate this new endeavor, we have put a new layout online. It’s a really fresh looking and ’summery’ layout! For the pas few weeks I have been working really hard to code all sorts of exciting new features in the new layout.

Of which the most eye-catching one is the Featured Posts section on the main site. All important announcements and articles can be found in that section from now on, while the other updates continue below the Featured Posts.

Another new feature is to view the updates in three different ways; Normal view, List view and Grid view. In Normal view you can read the updates like you are used to, in List view you will be able to read the post title, a small post excerpt and the posting icon, while in Grid view you can browse through posts via their posting icons.

Do you see that ShareThis button on top of every update? With this button you can share the post with other people via email, AIM, text-message, social bookmarking sites like Digg, StumpleUpon, Technorati and networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. Which means that you can easily update anyone with the latest Jennifer Lopez news!

Also new is the New Posts section in the sidebar (when viewing a single post or page) which shows you the 5 latest posts with post title, small post excerpt and posting icon. You can also track the New Comments in the sidebar from now on.

Subscribe to Comments is another feature that enables you to to check a box (called ‘Notify me of followup comments via e-mail‘) before commenting and get e-mail notification of further comments so you will never miss another comment.
