The Cell 2 without orignal cast

I thought it would be interesting to post this. Unfortunatly Jennifer isn’t on board for this sequel.
In an article looking at the current crop of direct-to-DVD sequels, Video Business reports New Line began shooting The Cell 2, a sequel to the Jennifer Lopez-starring 2000 thriller brimming with eye candy, last month.
“Its story line is under wraps, but [Kevin Kasha, senior VP of acquisitions at New Line] confirms it does extend the franchise … This next installment, slated for third-quarter 2008, stars Frank Whaley and Tessie Santiago.”
Frank Whaley. As in, Vacancy’s Frank Whaley. Santiago has appeared in numerous TV shows from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” to “Queen of Swords.” In The Cell, Lopez played a psychotherapist who explores the mindscape of a comatose serial killer in the hopes of saving his latest victim. Man, I forgot Vince Vaughn also starred in this. Weird.

the first movie was amazing.. she could have been in it but not been the main charicter, that sucks
