Will Como Ama una Mujer, be re-released with bonus tracks?

I really, really hope that this isn’t written in stone yet. I absolutely love the song but around 90% of Jennifer Lopez’s fanbase wants “Te Voy A Querer” to be the next single so I really hope that “Te Voy A Querer” doesn’t become the Walking On Sunshine of J.Lo or the Step Into My World of Rebirth (what I mean with that is that those songs were just perfect for a single choice but they were never released and it was such a shame).

The Interview

“No, nervous? Not me”, said Jennifer, as she looked Marc in the eyes and continued: “I’m excited to start. We’ve been rehearsing for a couple of months, so I feel ready”, said J.Lo in response to a question by Rafael Salguero de México.

-What motivated you to tour together?
“Well, it was a very easy decision”, said Marc, “You guys know that each year, I tour with friends, and Jennifer released a spanish album this year and is about to release an English one. I just had to decide who to tour with and it was easy. I invited her and now we’re doing it, said Marc in response to Paul Obregón’s question.

-Claudia Mondragón, of Perú, sends this message: Marc & Jennifer, ¿Could you sing Love is All as a a duet at the concert? I love this song.
M: “¡Oh!, Love is All, interesting, eh?
J: “We’ve been looking to do something together that would be a surprise, not like the duets everyone knows. It would be interesting to do that.”
M: “It’s one of my favorite songs, so it would be pretty easy”.

-What are your favorite songs?
M: In my repoirtoire? I have some. You Sang to Me, My Baby You, Tu Amor Me Hace Bien, there are lots, but Love is All, came from an internal moment and it signifies a lot to me. So it’s interesting that people like it.”

-And you Jennifer, what are your favorite songs?
“Well, I’m doing one of my favorites. One is Hold It Don’t Drop it, from Brave. From the spanish album, it’s a song called Por qué te marchas, which I included on the English album and it’s called Can’t Believe This is Me, so I’m gonna sing that. But the rest are songs everyone knows. Those are the only ones that I’m doing that are from, you know, albums”.

-Jennifer & Marc, I love Amarte Es Todo.
J: “You know, the hard thing about this tour is that he has an hour and some (it’s hard to translate this phrase-” una hora y pico”. It basically means an hour and then some), and so do I, to sing all the hits and then other songs from the album. It’s hard to do everything.

-You have to sing everything…
J: “Yes, the combination of english and spanish.
M: “Together and seperate.”
J: “It.s a sensible show and we have to pick the songs that go together and we have to make sure that they flow really nicely.

-Will there be dancers?
J: “Yes, of course”.
M: “Not for me”.
J: “Yes”.

M: “I was going ot say something crazy, but forget it”.
J: “Yes, there will be dancers”.
M: “It will be a great spectacle”.

-¿Why do you like the song Never Gonna Give Up, will you make a video for it?
-For a second, Jennifer is like, ‘what’? and then responds, “How did he hear it is my question”.
“¿Why is it my favorite? Because of the lyrics. It talks about something that for me, has a lot of emotion. That, it doesn’t matter if you’ve gone through a lot of difficult things in your life. You should never give up on love.

Marc, Why haven’t you guys done a duet in english? You should do a song like Love is All
M: “Again, Love is All”.
“You know what?, we don’t have anything planned”.
J: “Everything we do together is very natural and I think that if there is a song that would be good for us to do together, we’ll do ut, but until now, that song hasn’t come to us.
M: “Well, Love is All”.
J: “We’ve done songs in Spanish because those songs have been for us. That has to happen in English. We don’t say, “Hey! Let’s find an english song to do together. We don’t do things that way. Not the tour, or the movie, or the songs.
M: “It’s not calculated”.
J: “We have to be inspired”.

-You have everything: Fame, fortune, talent, a beautiful, intelligent wife. What are you missing?
M: “A Ferrari 360 is what I need”.
(To this, Jen said, “Forget it!”)
M: “No, no, no. I have everything. Now I just need to maintain it and respect it. The most important this is to realize that you have everyhting anf appraciate it everyday. (Jennifer nods her head in agreement here). But a Ferrari wouldn’t be bad anyway. Maybe as a bonus for when the tour ends.

Jennifer laughs and shakes her finger ‘No’.

-Luciana Santana, says: I love your new clothing line. You took the best of yourself and put your name and the Hispanic community at the top. Her question is: Just as you’ve managed to get to the top, how do you manage to stay at the top?
J: “It’s not easy, but I have a lot of people around me who work with me. They are very talented people and they help me with the line. They know that I have other careers- I have music, family, movies, and all of those are important to me. They come before the clothes and the frangrances. They know that they can’t do anything without my approval or my vision because it’s my name that’s at stake, so it has to be a quality product and something I am proud of. It’s important to find the time to make sure it all comes out well. Sometimes it’s hard to do. It’s tiring.

M: “It’s interesting to live a life that way. You just have to know, at that particular moment, what hat to wear. If she has to meet with the clothing people, she’s completely focused on that. If at 3 she hasa meeting with the record company, the same. It’s one thing at a time. You just have to know how to manage your time and what you have to get done. Like, right now, the most important thing is this interview. You need that balance.

-What did you feel like when you made Selena? Look at it in retrospect, would you have changed the way you acted in the movie?
J: “No, nothing because that happened at that time. Some things are destiny. That was a point in my life that was destiny and everything that happened happened and that’s the way it is. At that moment, I gave myself fully to that role. I gave my all and did the best I couldand I’m really proud of the fact that I was part of that project, about the life of someone who touched so many lives and the hearts of the public. -Marc, does it bother you that people talk more about your private life than your talent?
M: “To tell you the truth, I’m not aware.”
J: “That’s what peopel are saying? That they write bad stuff about Marc? U thought they wrote bad stuff about me! Everything I’ve ever read is about how talented he is.

M: “I had no idea, nor do I care. They can write what they want. They don’t know me, obviously. I know my reality and when one knows their reality they can live their life responsibly. My mother is very proud of me. My family, my father, my wife, my kids-and those are the people who matter. All those people who want to bring you down, and who spend their lives writing junk (he uses a dirtier word that I don’t know how to translate. It literally means pubic hair, lol)- I don’t care. I’m oblivious to what they write.

-Would you ever like to retire and be a housewife?
J: “Sometimes I think about that, but I’m a person who loves to create things. Even though I have a family, that’s always going to be really important. I don’t think I’d be able to dedicate myself to solely being a housewife. Sometimes, I think: “It’d be nice to take six months off and relax, sleep in, cook, and things like that.” I have my fantasies, but they are just that. My work is my life. I’ve been vblessed by God and I have the opportunity to do so many thigs and it’s be a sin not to do them. You have to do things and be a productive person andI want to show my kids that and my family that. I want to show them that we did something with our lives that we can be proud of and at the same time, give pur public lots of love with our music and movies. Our spirit is to do that and show people that you can do anything you want in this world. Inspiring people that way is my life.

-What do you cook?
J: “Everything!”
M: “Hail Mary, she cooks everything. The only thing I have to show her how to cook is Mangú”.
J: “Yeah, that’s the only thing I don’t know”.
M: “Rice and beans, chicken, pork chops. Avocado salad. Oh, man, she cooks everything!

-Since you’ve been married to Jennifer, she’s learned Spanish and dresses in a classier way. Have you influeced her a lot?
M: “Ask her”.
Jennifer jokingly adds, “Yes, I make her do this, and I make her do that. Learn spanish! Wear this!”
M: “No. You know what, I’ve changed, too. I think that any person who is that important in your life will influence you. But I won’t take credit for any of that. These questions come from a certain point of view. I’d love to know that I influenced her in a positive way, because she definitely has influenced me that way.

-The majority of the 160 pages on Univision had birthday wishes for you Marc.
M: “¡Ah! A kiss and hug for all of you, I love you guys and I feel your warm wishes and love. I had a great, great time. So, I think that all your warm wishes got to me. We’ll see you all soon!

With those words, the interview was over. They had to continue their promo, so they touched up Jennifer’s makeup, adding lip gloss. She looked at herself quickly in the mirror and then Marc says, “Ready, mami?” and she replies, “I’m ready now, Papi!”
