She bounced back after both Gigli and her relationship with Ben Affleck proved to be flops, making a solid return to box-office viability with 2005’s romantic comedy Monster-in-Law and getting hitched to fellow singer Marc Anthony. Now, for the first time since 1998’s Out of Sight, she’s choosing projects that showcase her genuine acting talent — the Juarez drama Bordertown, the Hector Lavoe biopic El Cantante, and Don Roos’s dramedy Love and Other Impossible Pursuits.
