Hey guys! The full version of “Hold It, Don’t Drop It” has leaked! I haven’t listened to it yet but I am going to do that very soon though. The song isn’t renamed to “Hold It, Push It” at all, it is still called “Hold It, Don’t Drop It”. Can’t wait to listen the song myself lol. Enjoy guys.

  11. I love the first verse and the breakdown part. Sounds good. Still would have prefered something more urban.

  12. The song is HOT! but I would think they would come with something more stronger than that for the first single….. On the other hand this surly can be a hit with a good video which I know she can do.

  13. Well?…somebody Is this the first single or not?

    That doesn’t sound Jlo…

  25. This is not 1 of her best…REBIRTH had like a funky sound to it and i loved every single track on that album. I DON’T SEE IT as the first single… still luv you

  26. da song would be hot if she had a rapper in it n if she did a really dance lyk video. But 4 a first single i don’t tink so. She needs sumtin more hip n rnb sumtin dat will get her to da NO: 1 spot both in da UK n USA, but dis song will probs only reach da top 40. lol

  27. This song is totally HOT!

  30. I Think that this song, with a good video, is PERFECT for comeback! I just can’t get this song out of my head! Go Jenn!

  31. i like the song, but something more urban would be nice, like back to her jlo & ja rule era would be nice. thats when i became a fan, and this is me then was nice as well. rebirth really flopped cause most of her fans didnt recognize her as a “pop” artist. i still love her, but this song as a first single?

  32. I love the song, it’s different. I don’t know why some people want to hear only her old songs, it’s so boring.

  33. this one sounds much better than the snippet =)
think the song is hotness, cant wait to see the performances and the video

  34. its actually good but still expected better….how do u know that this is the title??

  35. because of our source =)

  36. ok thank you but one question…is it called…..hold it,dont drop it or hold it dont drop???? with , or without ,??? sorry but i want to know b/c if i play it it has to look perfect b/c on midi mafia it says it without ,

  37. Hi,
    I love this song!:-)

  38. A lot of the comments have been negative, though another part of them are really positive. Why is this? Looks like J.Lo’s fanbase is divided, and in a part it always has been since her Muder Remix with Ja Rule in ”I’m Real”.

The thing is that Jennifer 1st started as a pop singer, alone. First came ”if you had my love” and”waiting for tonight”. Both of them were really successful singles. There also was ”let’s get loud”, which ended up earning a grammy nommination for Best Dance Record just like ”waiting for tonight” did. Then came out ”love don’t cost a thing”, ”play”, ”i’m real”, and ”ain’t it funny”. All four proved to be successful too, in their own respected ways.

There also have been collaborations with Marc Anthony (only in ballads) and rappers (in more urban mixes and remixes). These too proved to be big hits in their own separate ways from her pop world, and got a new fanbase as well. Now it all lies to this: Which sound is more profitable?

In pop, she had six remembarable hits which earned her two Grammy nomminations. In urban or street with collaborations from other rappers, she had five remembarable hits, and one that fans remember but the general public does not (yup, ”Hold you Down” with Fat Joe). Still, in this area she didn’t receive Grammy nods, though she still managed to earn other awards elsewhere.

As you read this you might be saying ”what’s your point?”. Well, the point is that if you pay attention, she had a pop era, then a urban/street era, that both had approximately the same duration. Now, maybe she grew tired of them both and wanted something completely new. Something without collaborations, on her own and different. Is that a wise decision? Will fans follow? Will a new fanbase come along? That’s something we can’t define. ”Hold it, Don’t Drop it” does sound new and different from her. The full version sure is different and better than the snippet provided (which is still thanked to the OnlineJLoFan team to have provided us with the exclusive). I have mixed reviews about the song. I don’t hate it, nor like it. I guess we’ll have to see if it’s the new single and it flies or it crashes and burnes. But remember that there’s still time for her team to change it, so maybe (just maybe) it’s going to be another song.

  39. SO HOT! Can’t wait for the video!

  40. Very interesting story Stev.
I do not really know what to think of this song yet, either. I think it’s not bad butI don’t think it’s amazing either. I think that the main reason of that is, because she is coming with this whole new sound (well, new to her). And it will take me some time to get used to it and really fall in love with.

Being a Jennifer Lopez fan for a long time we know Jennifer always changes up her stuff and comes with new stuff. You never get bored with her thats for sure. But the question is, if everyone will respect her choice when going to this Disco type of music. It’s so different from all the stuff out right now. We will just have to wait and see how everyone’s reaction will be when it hits Airwaves in August.

What I do know is that the Jennifer Lopez fanbase never had such mixed feelings about a song. Some fans love it and and think it’s her best song to date, while some other fans say it’s not a good song at all.

But I am glad to say that I am beginning to like it more after multiple spins. It will never become my fave song of hers but with a nice and HOT video I am sure she’ll make up most of it for me.

Just my 2 cents on the whole thing.
    Take care

  41. I completly love the song….its very funky and dance hall….it surely will be an istant hit in charts, discos , clubs, everywhere.,…..i loove love it!!!!!!

  43. I love the single, i wasnt sure after hearing the snippet but now ive heard the full version i love it. The new sound sounds good…i doubt all the album will be the same sound, im still looking forwrad to hearing more RnB songs from her aswell, but i cant wait to see the video to HIDDI!
