“Hold It, Push It” pushed back?

Posted on Jul 24, 2007 by Imko. Filed under: Rumors.

They might have just pushed back Jennifer Lopez’s new single called “Hold It, Push It“. I was checking out FMQB.com again and the song “Hold It, Push It” has been removed from the ‘Available For Airplay’-list. This could mean that the song is now pushed back, or in the ‘worst-case scenerio’ they are going with an alternative single choice (something I wouldn’t mind, though). What do you think will happen?

  1. Im hoping they’ll release another single…i didn’t liked HIDDI at all…I hope they won’t push back the album b/c November is just a perfect time to release an album

  2. I really hope the whole thing doesn’t get pushed back either. I want this new English album so badly.

  3. I think they wont push it back, because they already announced the tour, which her english album will be part of, we’ll see!

  4. i kinda thinking maybe they took it down cause she wants to promote me haces falta more, or maybe because hold it push it, is the incorrect title?

  5. I think they’ll pick another single, she usually never goes with her first choice.

  6. It’s pretty interesting, as there a lot of point of views said. Maybe her team saw all the ‘not-too-positive’ feedback from the fans towards the song, and have considered another one. She once said on March 27, 2007 while promoting ‘Como Ama Una Mujer’ on TRL, that she was choosing between four up-tempo songs. So that means she has another three more to chose from if they end up deciding not to go with ‘Hold it, Push it’ (or ‘Drop it’, whichever it may be titled).

On the other hand, maybe the company didn’t give the new album a green light and / or thought the same as the fans, as in they were expecting more from her. In which would mean that she has to work yet a little more on it and push it to a new release date.

If that is the case or decision, I have nothing against it. Yes, we as fans would have to wait another while, yet it would maybe be an opportunity to perfect it and not rush it and conclusively be a bigger flop than her last studio album, ‘Rebirth’.

Hopefully at the end of the decision making from Jennifer and her team, everything will be turn out great and make the new (and still untitled) album the hit she deserves and wants it to be.

  7. I liked Hold it don’t drop it … :(

  8. thank god!

  9. Those were some very interesting arguments you said, Stev =D

  10. hope new single choice dont like hold it dont drop it

  11. I hope they change it! Its not a good first single for a come back… Jen needs to be more street… Love that ghetto Jenny, its sooo cute.

  12. I hope they put something more street.

  13. for me, i don’t mind as long as the ‘hold it whatever’ doesn’t come out as a single, i mean she’s jennifer lopez, people expect a lot from her, and this is what they came up with, she should really take time to pick a great single which will make her name rise just like the j-lo times before, a club banging song, i didn’t felt it in HIDDI song…

  14. yeah hopefully they’ll pick another track to be the 1st single cos HIDDI kinda sucks to me lol
I think this doesnt have to mean the album will be delayed or shit, since she recorded all the songs already (atleast I guess). she shot no video for hiddi yet, hiddi wasnt send to radios yet. so I think its kinda easy just to pick another 1st single around this time

  15. Everytime…..Doesnt everything get delayed?
I dont wanna anyone to take that the worng way but just when we are all getting excted bout something Jen related, it always seems to be delayed for some reason :(

  16. Obviously the label was testing thi’ss song and most people didn’t like it that why they will chose another one! 99% sure, it happens.
